Why is the platform showing me names that don't match?

The reason some names in our system may appear as non-matches is due to the use of fuzzy logic with a confidence threshold of 85% or higher. Unlike strict, exact-match searches, our system takes a more flexible approach, considering various factors, including similarities in names or identifiers that may not be an exact match. The confidence threshold of 85% represents the level of certainty required for a match to be considered valid.

Names that fall below this threshold may not meet the required level of confidence for a match, even if they share similarities with the search criteria. This approach is designed to prioritize accuracy and reduce false positives in our system, ensuring that matches are made with a reasonably high degree of confidence.

If you would like to change the fuzzy logic to be a higher or lower percentage than 85%, please read our article on changing this here.
